Welcome to my classroom.  I am an Elementary Education Teacher with a Bachelor of Science Degree and focuses in Mathematics and Language Arts from Oakland University.   I am grateful to be a part of Oxford in this ever-changing and global world we live in today.
My passion for working with children developed at a young age as I became a teen leader in 4-H, guiding, teaching, and modeling leadership, animal management, and community service for younger members. In high school, I visited the K-2 school in my district to assist the Special Education teacher with daily educational activities that were individualized for each student.  My passion for the development of children grew as I decided to attend Oakland University to pursue a teaching degree.

I am fortunate to be familiar with the district and International Baccalaureate.  At Lakeville Elementary I was a volunteer coach for Girls on the Run. Girls on the Run promotes self-esteem, mental, physical, social development, and healthy living for girls in 3rd through 5th grade.  I also guided 3rd graders who initiated the creation of a lemonade stand as part of their trans-disciplinary theme of Sharing the Planet.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my two amazing nephews as their personalities and character develops. I enjoy riding horses, training my dog, and volunteering as an adult leader for Macomb County 4-H.  I love to teach students how to become a part of a community that cares about each other.  Teaching is what I have always dreamt of doing, and it is a privilege to be a part of your child’s life.
