JOINED OXFORD COMMUNITY SCHOOLS

August 2004

Welcome to Daniel Axford Elementary School!

I joined the Oxford Community Schools staff in 2004. I spent most of my career teaching second grade, but have also taught third and fourth grades. I became the principal of Daniel Axford Elementary in 2013.

Over the years, I have learned that Daniel Axford Elementary is a school committed to creating lifelong inquirers who are caring, contributing members of a global society. It will be my mission to continue to support a school community that is exciting and engaging for students while maintaining a safe, rigorous environment where students can learn and grow.

I have a true passion for education and set high expectations for all students and staff. At Daniel Axford Elementary, we uphold the Oxford Schools "Winning Game Plan:"
Bring Your Best - Work hard every day and in everything you do.
Become Your Best - Never stop learning, Be reflective.
Be Kind - Be truthful, Be nice to one another, Exhibit courage.
Have a Ball - Have fun and love those that you serve.

My family and I have lived in Oxford since 2001. All three of my daughters (Carly, Ella, and Maddy) are Oxford Schools students or alum, and my wife Kris is a teacher at Clear Lake Elementary. So we are clearly a family of Wildcats!

I am looking forward to serving you as your building principal. Please feel free to contact me anytime with questions or concerns. Together we can ensure that you and your child have a successful experience at Daniel Axford Elementary. Go Wildcats!
